Road trip

We just returned from a long weekend back in Idaho. It's nice to go back and enjoy the slow pace of the country. Xavier loved spending time with his grandparents and all their fun toys. The drive wasn't that bad until the last 100 miles when the traffic turned to a slow crawl.

A Fun Surprise

Today I was greeted with this cute little number, a mink stole. Thanks to my husband for always thinking of me. Now this wasn't necessarily an item I was looking for but when presented with a gift you can't say no. To the late J.M.B, your mink will continue to be worn.

City of Lights

One month from today we will be on our way to Paris. I've been dreaming of this trip for a few years now, I still can't believe we are actually booked and ready to leave. Maybe not 100% ready to leave, I still need to finalize the our must see list and route some of our destinations. We will spending six days in Paris and three days in London, all with out our baby. That's right, our first kid free trip. Let's hope we don't spend the entire trip emailing back home.

Mothers Day Weekend

What a great weekend to be out and about...and we did just that. Saturday we went for a drive in the country, beach combing and saw tiny crabs followed with an afternoon margarita. Sunday I was surprised with a basket full of flowers from my cute little guy.

New Sound

I received this cool new speaker for my birthday this year and I'm loving it. If you haven't seen the X-mini you should check it out. It was given to me by a good friend who knows good sound. This cute, very portable little speaker is perfect for your desk or on the go. I enjoy not having the ear buds plugged in.

Shopping in Korea

Last night I had a chance to do a little shopping in the myungdong area. As you can see this is a very popular district. Every international brand you can think of, it's a bit overwhelming.

Almost Home

I'm at the half way mark of this work trip. It has really gone fast and there has been some interesting things along the way. I've experienced a little of the Hong Kong Rugby 7's and now that I'm in Seoul it's the Nuclear Summit. Two very contrasting events.

Saturday Night in Hong Kong, One big party on the street for the Rugby 7's!

Sorry, no photos of the intense security in Seoul for the Nuclear Summit. What happens is when a world leader is passing from the car to the hotel elevator everyone must stop and there is a wall of security guards that usher in and block any view. If you come across them while driving, traffic is stopped until they pass, with a very long police escort. It has made for an interesting first two days in Seoul.
